Jake & Frances

June 13, 2026

Q + A

Q: How did we meet?

A: You met at a church event in 2025. Jake began attending in March, and in July he noticed Frances during a Wednesday night service, thinking, “my goodness, this woman is gorgeous,” but he assumed she was married. On August 2nd, at the church’s Back to School Bash that Frances helped coordinate, we where introduced and everything changed.

Q: Who made the first move?

A: Jake did. After meeting that day, he worked up the courage to ask Frances to dinner the following evening, and thankfully, she said yes!

Q: When was our first date and where did we go?

A: Our first date was on at Long Horn Steakhouse. What was meant to be a simple dinner turned into a 4.5-hour conversation. We talked, laughed, and connected in a way that felt effortless and genuine.

Q: When did we make it official?

A: We made our relationship official on August 15th, 2025.

Q: When did you know you wanted to get married?

A: For Jake, the answer is clear: August 15th. That day, he knew with complete certainty that Frances was the woman he wanted to marry. There was peace, clarity, and a deep sense of God’s peace. For Frances, she knew she wanted to marry Jake when she realized she couldn’t imagine life without him.”

Q: What do we love most about each other?

A: Jake loves Frances’ beauty, her heart for Jesus, and the way he can talk to her about absolutely anything. Frances loves Jake’s peaceful spirit, his kind heart, and his deep love for Jesus.

Q: What do we enjoy doing together?

A: We love having fun together in all forms, whether that’s relaxing at home, enjoying a great meal with meaningful conversation, or serving together in ministry. No matter what we’re doing, we genuinely enjoy being side by side.

Q: What is most important in our relationship?

A: Our faith. Our love for Jesus and His Church is the foundation of everything we do. Being led by God, serving together, and building a Christ-centered life is at the heart of our relationship.

Q: Tell us about your family.

A: Family is a huge part of our story. Frances is the proud mom of her son, Jason, and Jake is the proud dad of his son, Xavier. Watching God bring our families together has been one of the most beautiful parts of this journey.

Q: How did the proposal happen?

A: Jake originally planned to propose on Frances’ birthday, December 3rd, but on December 1st, he felt a strong and undeniable stirring to do it that very night. At exactly 7:37 PM, with a lot of help from one of Frances’ closest friends a plan came together in less than an hour. By 8:30 PM, at the downtown gazebo in Victoria, Texas, Jake asked Frances to be his wife...and she said yes!

Q: What are we most excited about as we look toward marriage?

A: Building a Christ-centered home, raising our children together, continuing to serve God and His Church, and walking hand in hand into everything the Lord has planned for us.
